LABORATORY/ The workshop will offer different kind of scenic tools that will widen the range of research. The objective is the creation of numbers and performing proposals with the vertical rope. The participants will be guided throughout the rupture of their academic and aesthetic habits, pushed beyond the technical limitation of the instrument and will receive guidance in order to discover different scenic solutions.
The method proposed will give priority to the concept, to the different scenic choices and to the natural energy of the performer. It will also be insisted in using the technical moves only when it serves the content.
The goal for the participants is to find their own movement, recognise the impulses, the speed, the difference of rhythm and peripheral awareness and be able to include these tools into their own practice.
ABOUT GERMÁN
Scenic artist, bassed in Barcelona. Specializes in circus, sound researcher and creator of scenic environments. Author, performer in the "432 ... so many things..." and OTRADNOIE.1.
He starts with circus in 1997 begging his training at the National Circus School of Cuba, he has participated in various circus and dance companies in Latin America and Europe. He is the co-founder and productor of four creation projects over the past eight years, dedicating the first three in the research with live music used in circus. These shows were performed in circus tents, in the street and in theaters.
The last of these four projects is called: "Cia. OTRADNOIE Project "and is within this process, where the search begins to develop a scenic language that fuse objects, sound devices and the construction of sound and light, controlled while on the stage. All these tools are incorporated in order to aim the target of the show.
He is one of the founders of the Cultural Circus Association “Cruzando el Charco”, international platform for cultural exchange. Today, he collaborates with: Bolivia Now – Artistic Residence Center in Barcelona, Side Kunst Cirque and Circo Paniko, with different shows: Radio Tagada, Full Out, Radovan y Stupid Palace. He also participates at these Festivals: JetLag - Extreme Circus and Music, Citta di Circo-Bologna.
