LAB ROPE | Creative Barcelona Rope Meeting

 

After the success of the Rope Meeting events and the development of the rope technique during the last years, we think it is time to take a bit further the technique itself. So we decided to propose a creative, experiential and scenic oriented rope immersion get together, which is going to be based on creation, movement and technique.

The LAB ROPE meeting is addressed to rope artists who are interested in the creation and development of the necessary tools for building their own style or way to inhabit the scene.

​

For this LAB ROPE edition we chose each one of the artists, that will accompany the workshops that we offer, as they attend all the specific needs: to deepen into the knowledge and the connections between high technical level, artistic research and body consciousness.

​

What we are really looking forward to is the last day´s GALA. Besides all the rope and movement sessions, we do offer an opportunity to present the result of all the new scenic recourses, in front of a public. So, once the 4 sessions of the Laboratory are finished, we pretend that all the work we have done during these sessions will be shared. And shared not only between the participants, but by setting up a live presentation. We are going to close the LAB ROPE with the Sunday´s GALA.

This LAB ROPE will take place in collaboration with Associació Gente Colgada (circus association) and La Bonita (Producer and Creative Space).

 

 

WHAT WE OFFER:

- 4 days in a full immersion of 9 hours/ day

- creative and technical laboratories for the participants

- learn how to build a scenic experience in 4 days
